Abstract

ABSTRACT

Lactation failured were often the resulted of several lactation problems, one of that problem was breast milk dam. Oketani massage was one of the methods of breast treatment that caused pectoralist muscle forces to increased breast milk production and maked it softer, elastic and easier for a baby to sucked milk. The purposed of these studied was to know the effectiveness of oketani massage on the prevention of mother’s breast milk dam on postpartum and the post secsio sesarea. The design of these studied used a preexperiment design or a pre design for post test only design or the one shot case study to studied an innovative program of health education and to have no basis for comparison. The treatment or intervention that has been done (x) in this design will be measured by observation or post test (02). Observation result (02) provide descriptive information. The studied is carried out at Sarah Medan Hospital on June 19 to July 02, 2020. The studied’s population was all of the mothers of postpartum and the post secsio sesarea that are treated in Sarah Medan Hospital with subject of 35 respondents. The data-gathering technique used the observation sheet with data analysis techniques, namedly univariates and bivariates. Research shows that the entire respondents totaling 35 (100%) were not on breast milk dam and their breast milk production was increased. Data analysis results obtained with Wilcoxon's test using SPSS software, the z value = -4,472 compounds and the p-value value = 0,000 with a degree of significance p<0.05. The conclusion of the studied states that the breast milk dam on postpartum and the post secsio sesarea was effectively preventabled with an Oketani massage.
